We placed the following advert, not really sure what to expect:

Rangiora Players are in desperate need of a tame pet rat for a lead role in the up and coming presentation of Fawlty Towers at Rangiora Town Hall.

Director Ian Lester requires the rat to appear on stage in a crucial scene and is hoping for a good looking well humoured rodent. The lucky rat has no lines to learn but will need to attend rehearsals from Sunday 25 July.

This is an unpaid role and the chosen rodent will be given prime billing in the programme.
