2026 marks the 100th anniversery of the Rangiora Town Hall,
a venue that the Rangiora Players have staged works there frequently over the
years. Our earliest recorded appearance was in 1937, for a performance entitled
"An Intial presentation of One-Act Plays".
On Saturday the 5th September a celebration of the Town Hall
was held, and The Rangiora Players were one of the acts appearing!
There were two Centennial Showcases, at 2pm and 6.30pm.
Synopsis
The year is 1973 and Rangiora is very excited to be hosting the country's favourite television game
show "You've got it New Zealand", hosted by celebrity quiz-master, Bruce King and assisted
by the glamorous Cindy Johnson.
Not only is it showcasing the town but it's also an opportunity for contestants to win fabulous
prizes and be on nation-wide television!
